Position Overview: The Machine / Building Maintenance Technician is a pivotal role within our organization, crucial to maintaining and enhancing our production capabilities. As we continue to grow, we are investing in automated seasoning and packaging machines. We currently operate six seasoning and packaging lines. The Machine / Building Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring these machines run efficiently and reliably as well as maintaining our building in accordance with Food Safety regulations and Environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform emergency repairs on machines and equipment during production to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation, removal, or modification of production machines and equipment.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of parts used for repairs and replacements.
- Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams to understand the production process and minimize equipment downtime. Complete required paperwork promptly.
- Provide training on new equipment used for production and maintenance to production, maintenance, and engineering associates.
- Mentor and train Machine Operators on department processes and maintenance procedures.
- Perform building maintenance and simple repairs when applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 – 5 years of manufacturing experience with a broad range of skills in operations, electrical, pneumatic, and machine maintenance.
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical principles, systems, troubleshooting, and repair, PLC and assisted automation, mechanical handling systems, maintenance, and repair.
Working Hours:
- Training will be Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
- After Training is complete, the hours will change to 6:00am – 6:30pm, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12 hour shift
Location:
- Howell, MI 48843: Reliable commuting or relocation to Howell, MI is required.

- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
